one minute i hold the world in my hand and the next it all turns to sand,
i clench my fist and i try to hold on but it slips through my fingers and then its all gone,
like scooping water with a sieve i watch it ebb away and yet i used that sieve over and over each and every day kept trying to stop you walk away,
like a bird you either land on my hand or you fly away but it must be your choice they are words you must say, but you could not say them at least not without a lie words i chose to ignore as i watched you cry mistaking tears for truth, my crushed spirit accepted anything you threw to me, when really i should have been strong and walked away, if i wasn't what you want i don't want to stay, now i see now i see, i truly believed you were meant for me, and i made myself believe your love was true even arguing with my own mind, denying what others could see, because for me love is blind, when i looked at you i saw your inner beauty your spirit not the outside that will fade,
we awakened each others soul took each other out of the shade, our life burned
with a passion others envied inside, fooling you each day, but from them it was me you chose to hide,
that's when love died, that's when love cried, that's when love lied.
for someone who made my life very special, but who was not the special person i thought they were, someone who intentionally hurt me everytime she said i love you, for there was no truth in those words and she had to know that, i think we all know when we love and when we don't its just a cop out and a cowardly way to say im insure, i gave her so many chances to do it honorably and just walk away but she herself chose to mislead and play with someones feeling, it was hard getting here but i forgive her
