How To Increase Battery Life in Windows 10

 Anonymous     21:30:00     HowTo360     No comments

Windows 10 is the latest operating system for windows, in this article you will learn how to configure the power options for when the screen powers off or when the device goes to sleep. You can also configure these settings for when you’re running on battery power or when your laptop is plugged in.
By clicking on the “Additional power settings”, you will see the classic Control Panel section that corresponds to the power options. By using the Power Settings, you will be able to set more advanced power options.

Battery Saver

You can turn on the Battery saver by just clicking the battery icon in the taskbar and selecting the Battery saver button to enable the feature. Keep in mind that this option will be inactive when the computer is plugged in.
You can also enable this feature from the Action Center, by clicking on the Action Center icon on the taskbar and selecting the Battery Saver button to enable it.

Battery Saver Settings

You can access the Battery Saver Settings by searching for the “Battery Saver” in the start menu. We suggest you to enable this feature, because it will kick in whenever the battery hits 20%, and will try to save as much energy as it can.

Configuring the Battery Saver

You can also customize the critical percentage required for activation of the Battery Saver feature. You can set it from 5% up to 100%, but we suggest you to either leave it to 20% (as default) or 25%.
After that, you will be able set the Battery Saver to lower the screen brightness while it’s enabled and either enable or disable “push notifications”.
Did you install the new Windows 10 OS on your laptop? Did the battery last longer than it used to do when the laptop was running on Windows 7/Widows 8.1?
