The images, which were leaked on Chinese social network Weibo, show a clean, flat rectangle with curved edges. There’s a pair of cameras – front and back – a headphone jack up top and some sort of connector port on the bottom. The bezels also looks super thin, which is always nice.
Based on earlier leaks we’re expecting the Nokia C1 to pack some pretty mid-range hardware. That includes a 5-inch 720p display, an Intel Atom chip, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. That won’t make for a particularly exciting device, though it should at least be cheap as a result.
Nokia legally can’t release a new smartphone until 2016 as part of its agreement with Microsoft. So it’s possible the C1 could arrive early next year, though for now it’s just another rumored Android phone.
