The estate agent's view
Ty Gwyn Avenue
Ramzy Bancroft, Head of Sales at estate agent Jeffrey Ross, said: “It is not surprising Ty-Gwyn Avenue came out on top.
“The
area is very affluent and people rarely move because it’s a good
balance between being close to amenities, shops, schools, parks and
links to main roads.
“Only residents would drive down there and a lot of the houses have been developed and extended.
“Only a handful of houses have been up for sale there in the past five or six years.
“Around
six years ago they were sold at around £500,000 to £700,000 and now
they would be more than that and, percentage-wise, most of them would be
over a million.”
'It's a gorgeous road'
Helen
Davies, Head of Sales at Moginie James added: “Ty-Gwyn Avenue is a
gorgeous road and there are a few similar roads that run parallel to
each other around there.
“It’s a very desirable area and it’s mainly families that live on that road.
“All the houses would have at least four bedrooms and they have big gardens.
“Every
house is individual and it is very pretty and quiet there. It also
falls in the Cardiff High catchment which adds to the value.”
According
to Zoopla the most valuable street in Britain was Kensington Palace
Gardens in London where the average house is worth an incredible £45.4
million.
The most valuable town in Britain was Virginia
Water in Surrey where the average house is valued at a cool £1.29m by
the property website.
