The Reasons Apple iPhone Has No Equals

 Anonymous     22:30:00     iPhone     No comments

I hope the Android fans won't attack me lol. With a gorgeous display, an uber-cool camera, and timely OS updates, the iPhone continues to be the front-runner in the smartphone market
Here’s Why Apple iPhone Has No Equals

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is seen by many as the front-runner in the smartphone market, a claim unlikely to be challenged in the near future. The tech company might have a plethora of products, however, it’s only the iPhone that shoulders the burden of being the breadwinner. The iPhone has brought in the majority of revenue for the company year after year, and the latest iPhone 6s is also gunning for the records set by its predecessor. Bidness Etc takes a look at what makes the iPhone arguably the best in the market.

Last year, the iPhone 6 quickly won over fans. Apple for the first time introduced two variants of its smartphone, which incorporated a substantial change in design compared to their predecessors. Even though Apple packed its smartphone with considerably mid-range specs i.e. a dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM, the device was able to compete with and even trump many other flagships in the market. With such reviews, it came as no surprise that the iPhone 6 raked in 92% of the profits in the industry in the first quarter this year alone.
Apple aims to do the same with the iPhone 6s, the device which features a complete under-the-hood upgrade over its predecessor. It is already being touted as the iPhone with the biggest upgrades in recent years. The upgrades are done in areas which include processor, RAM, camera, and a new feature which has been a hit among many.

Since the iPhone isn’t exactly a spec-boasting smartphone, there aren’t many hardware plus points. However, some of its features have truly taken the industry by storm. Listed below are the various reasons the smartphone continues to appeal to millions worldwide.

Design

Apple introduced a telling design with last year’s iPhone, one that shifted away from small displays. This year’s iPhone 6s features the same design as well. The iPhone continues to provide that premium feel to users which Samsung didn’t manage to over the years with its plastic- incorporated smartphones. Many manufacturers have tried to imitate iPhone’s external design, the recent in the list being HTC, with its latest A9 smartphone.

Camera

The iPhone has arguably one of the best cameras in the industry, which has also been a major factor behind its popularity. Although the latest model supports a 12MP rear sensor, it captures truly amazing shots courtesy of the company’s native iSight camera technology. The front camera has been upgraded to a 5MP shooter, and provides superior results than its competitors.
The camera comes with its native application, which is one of the most responsive and easy to use interfaces. Unlike many competitors, Apple focuses on both the hardware and software aspects of the iPhone, resulting in exceptional integration between the camera sensors and the native application. By far, one of the major selling points of the iPhone is its truly amazing camera.

3D Touch

The company’s latest introduction on the hardware front is the most gripping feature to hit smartphones in recent years. The all-new iPhone 6s features 3D Touch displays that can differentiate user inputs, depending on the pressure of their touch. This winning feature is yet to be incorporated in other smartphones, and is the major reason why the phone has become a fan-favorite.

Apple iOS

It’s been proven that high-end specs alone can’t result in a successful smart phone; it needs to be supported by an equally efficient operating system. There are many Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android smartphones which support high-end specs, but fall short of providing overall performance and experience compared to the iPhone.
Android might be leading the smartphone industry in terms of market share, but the true Android experience is only provided by the Nexus series of smartphones. Every other smartphone manufacturer introduces its own customized version, thereby causing fragmentation. This means OS updates don’t reach users in a timely manner; a Nexus user will get the update before Samsung users.
Apple, by taking care of both the hardware and software aspects, has successfully created its own ecosystem. This provides users with not only the exclusivity factor many crave, but also timely updates. One might argue that Android supports a Google ecosystem too, which includes Gmail and Google Docs that almost everyone is dependent on, but iOS Apple takes the lead by ensuring a seamless integration between the various Apple products.
Apple has revealed that 61% of its users have already switched over to the latest iOS 9, whereas Android, whose software update process is managed mostly by carriers and smartphone manufacturers as opposed to Google itself, finds most of its users (38.9%) stuck on Android Kitkat 4.4, which was released back in October 2013.
Apple’s iOS has been perfected in a manner which enables the iPhone to provide exceptional performance. Google is also following suit by focusing on stability and security of its Android OS, but if it continues to rely on manufacturers and carriers for the update process, all these attempts are likely to go to waste.

Although Apple’s OS is far more restrictive than Android, it makes up for this in terms of stability and security, something that is becoming increasingly important after the recent malware attacks on mobile OS.
The iPhone isn’t just a smartphone with a premium design and camera, its runs an OS that brings out the best in it.
