New phones, new inventions. It is common knowledge that Apple's latest devices, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, lack novelty though, they came with 3D Touch technology and several other features upgrades. So, the focus has now turned to the upcoming device, dubbed the iPhone 7.
Apple may not reveal the release date or any information for that matter about its upcoming device, the iPhone 7 like in the case of its previous devices, but it is obvious that it will be launched in September 2016. It has the tradition of unveiling its new device after its current flagship smartphone completes one-year cycle in the market.
Nothing about the iPhone 7 is confirmed but Apple patents have hinted that the device could come with several unique features that are not seen in the iPhone 6s.
One of the patents filed by Apple is "Protective Mechanism for an Electronic Device" that claims a device will not suffer screen damage if it slips from the hand, as vibration motor technology is expected to adjust gravity and make sure that it doesn't fall flat on the screen.
"Touch Surface for Simulating Materials" is another patent filed by Apple. It is a technology that makes a device recognise hand gestures made by touching a surface.
Apple has filed "Elevated Joystick" patent and this could change mobile phone gaming all together if it comes true. It also has filed "Mirror Tilt Actuation" patent that says "OIS adjusts the direction of the field of view of the camera to compensate for user motion."
The Cupertino giant has mentioned nowhere whether it will introduce the technology stated in the patents to the iPhone 7 but it won't come as a surprise if some of them are seen in it.
According to reports that have appeared so far, the iPhone 7 is expected to come with features like A10 chip, six-element lenses, slim body and even without Apple's iconic Home button.
