Reports have shown that the latest software upgrade to the Microsoft Band introduces new features like a new Exercise Tile, improved activity reminders and broader music-streaming options, according to PC Mag.
Other features added to the device include a fitness tracker that connects to your smartphone, a heart rate monitor that can be used while listening to music, music controls, and automatic update notifications, The Albany Daily Star reported.
Any music app can be connected to the device via Bluetooth as well. This means that users can listen to music through the Microsoft Band from Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play Music.

The update can be accessed by anyone who owns the Microsoft Band 2 and is already available for download, according to Engadget.
