This BMW M4-based hot rod packs 710 hp … but can you stomach its look?
Detroit-based tuner Hoffy Automobiles has published a batch of computer-generated design sketches that preview a fast, aggressive-looking coupe that started life as a BMW M4.
Called Mamba GT3 Street, the coupe stands out from the M4 on which it’s based thanks to an entirely redesigned front end with a deep bumper, a massive splitter, huge air dams, and specific LED headlights. In other words, it’s impossible to mistake the Mamba for a regular M4 fitted with a body kit. The custom look continues beyond the front end with oversized fender flares on all four corners, an air diffuser that looks like it was yanked from a race car, and a wing that’s at least as tall as the roof.

Interior pictures haven’t been released, but Hoffy Automobiles promises the cabin gains sport seats for the front passengers, as well as Alcantara upholstery on the seats, the steering wheel, the shift knob, and the headliner. Interestingly, along with Bluetooth connectivity and an in-car Wi-Fi connection, it also gets a heads-up display inspired by the world of jet fighters.

Power is provided by a heavily modified evolution of the M4’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine that generates a whopping 710 horsepower, 285 more than the stock model. A full list of the modifications isn’t available, but enthusiast website BMW Blog reports Hoffy Automobiles has re-mapped the ECU. The extra power allows the Mamba GT3 to reach 60 mph from a stop in less than 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 mph.

Hoffy Automobiles is still putting the final touches on the Mamba GT3 Street Concept, though the first prototype has already been spoken for by a wealthy collector. The production model is tentatively scheduled to make its public debut in February, and it will go on sale across the nation shortly after. Pricing information will be published when the coupe is officially unveiled.
