phone number in order to receive a verification code. And yes, every
WhatsApp account is connected to a phone number. But, although you need a
SIM card to get an account, you don't necessarily need one in the

You can turn your SIM-less device into an extension of your existing WhatsApp account by following these steps:
1. Open Chrome on the phone or tablet without a SIM card and access the settings in the top right.
2. Choose 'View as computer'.
3. Now go to the official WhatsApp Web page, which will display a QR code.
4. Open WhatsApp with the phone that has a SIM card, then go to the settings in the top right corner, select 'WhatsApp Web' and scan the QR code on the SIM-less device.
5. The device without a SIM will now show all your conversations and contacts, and you can use WhatsApp in the same way you always have.
It's a little long-winded, but this method allows you to keep messaging, without a SIM card, so it’s pretty useful.
