This may sound strange but its true. You need a SIM card and a phone number to install the app, but once
your WhatsApp account is up and running, there is a way to continue
using it on other devices.
You can turn your SIM-less device into an extension of your existing WhatsApp account by following these steps:
1. Open Chrome on the phone or tablet without a SIM card and access the settings in the top right. 2. Choose 'View as computer'. 3. Now go to the official WhatsApp Web page, which will display a QR code.
4. Open WhatsApp with the phone that has a SIM card, then go to the
settings in the top right corner, select 'WhatsApp Web' and scan the QR
code on the SIM-less device. 5. The device without a SIM will now
show all your conversations and contacts, and you can use WhatsApp in
the same way you always have.
It's a little long-winded, but this method allows you to keep messaging, without a SIM card, so it’s pretty useful.
Have you used WhatsApp without a SIM card? What method did you employ? Tell us about it in the comments below.
