BlackBerry Vienna leaks will have Samsung Exynos 7 CPU, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS

 Anonymous     17:00:00     BLACKBERRY     No comments

Following the recent success of 'Priv', BlackBerry is set to release another handset currently being referred to as the 'BlackBerry Vienna". New speculations about the device suggest that it could resemble the Priv and Leap. It could also feature Samsung Exynos as its CPU.
As reported by The Bitbag, the new handset's design appears to be highly inspired from Priv with its capacitive buttons and front facing speakers situated next to the front facing camera. It is also speculated to follow the design of BlackBerry 'Leap', and will be available in black, silver, green, red, and grey.

Renders of BlackBerry Vienna have also made their way online suggesting that it will have brushed metal finish in its design. Moreover, according to N4BB, it will also have physical buttons with the volume and power buttons situated in the right side of the device, while the micro-SD slot and sim card slot will occupy its left side.
It is also rumored to have a smaller camera compared to Priv which could be an indication that the cameras will not be the handset's highlight. The cameras for the device is also rumored to be inspired by 'Leap'.
Details about Vienna's features under the hood are currently unknown. However, as reported by Tech Malak, a new BlackBerry device was recently put for GFX Bench tests. The device was named "STV100-1" and details about the device suggest that it houses Android 5.1.1 OS, 2.6 GB memory, 25GB storage, and will flaunt a 2560x1440, 5.1" display.

The device is also quite intriguing as it was leaked to house a Samsung CPU with Samsung Exynos 7 Octa-core running at 2.1GHz. It is also reported to sport a  15MP back camera, and a 4.8MP front-facing camera. The BlackBerry Priv was named "STV100-X", however, it is still uncertain whether the new tested device was Priv or a different handset.
The BlackBerry Vienna will be BB's  second handset to be released with Android OS and is believed to be aimed at mid-range buyers. However, no official details have been revealed as of yet, thus, it is best to treat these information with a grain of salt. Price rumors about the device suggest that it could be released at £579.
