How Microsoft’s new iOS keyboard app will improve your texting game

One problem some people might have with the larger new iPhones is that they’re too big for one handed operation, especially the Plus versions. But Microsoft has figured out how to help you text easily using just one of your hands, in spite of the iPhone’s size. The company will bring its Windows Phone keyboard to iOS in the very near future, The Verge has learned. There are many third-party keyboards already available in the App Store, but Microsoft has come up with a feature that makes its keyboard stand out.

With the help of a simple button press, you can bend the keyboard to form an arch whose center is placed towards the bottom right or left corner. That way, you can reach every symbol on the keyboard with your thumb, as seen in the image above. In addition to word prediction, Word Flow also supports Swype-like gestures for faster typing.

Microsoft’s Word Flow keyboard is going to be available to public testers soon, the tech site notes. The app will be available in the App Store in the coming months, with an Android launch planned for later this year.
