Olajumoke Orisaguna has changed her modeling agency from Few Models run by Bolajo to Beth Models run by Elohor Aisien.
The announcement was made via Olajumoke’s Instagram page.
She wrote:
New Management for the ‘Olajumoke Brand’ @bethmodelafrica. Thanks to my lawyer and the Best PR @zukiliciouz for this, grateful for the time with my previous management! Can’t wait to begin this journey, we are starting up with plans for the “Olajumoke Orisaguna foundation” details soon #WatchThisSpace #olajumokeorisaguna #Grateful #BethManagement.
According to reports from Genevieve
Magazine, Olajumoke changed her agency because of disagreements between
the modeling agency and her lawyer.
In an exclusive chat with Genevieve Mag, the CEO of Few Models, Bolajo revealed:
I wanted to manage Olajumoke as a
personality while grooming her to be a model but we kept having issues
with her Lawyer. He insisted they wanted to be in charge of her
endorsement deals. We has signed an agreement but he couldn’t seem to
remember what the agreement contained and kept changing things. The
agreement was with him for over a week and then he comes back to say he
thought he removed the personality clause. We would book her for clients
and by the time we wake up, her team will say she can’t do this or
that.
I was thinking of the future, after all
the hype has died down and the endorsements wane, what will be left for
Olajumoke ? We booked her for fitness classes to help her tone up, we
bought her clothes and paid for her make up for all her interviews, we
paid for her transport, model training, we worked on skincare to make
her look good, paid for test shoots, got her an international passport,
chauffeured her everywhere so I could be a buffer and she wouldn’t feel
lost in her interactions.
Everyone with a strong understanding of how the industry works have commended us on our efforts.
She has only been with us for about
three months, even for top professional models it’s never that easy. My
plan was to work on her and then release new photos of a rebranded
professional model to the world who can last long in the industry after
all the hype has died down. Clients know what they want, you can’t force
someone on a client simply because her story went viral. She has had
jobs here and there.
Though we’ve been around for a only a
little while we’ve done very well. Our models get called for
international work, from South Africa to New York to Milan. Vogue
recently announced 5 of our models as top models to watch out for in
Africa. We have been acknowledged by IMG International who have
commended the standard of our models. Our Models go through rigorous
training from fitness, to skincare to runway training.
Agencies have to spend money to brush up
models and that is the stage Jumoke is right now unless she wants to
remain as a personality.Nothing is happening in the industry at the
moment. She is just three months in and we were working on brushing her
up to International Standard.
Yes, I can confirm that Olajumoke’s
management has been changed to Beth Models run by Elohor Aisien. There
have been issues from day one between the lawyer and Few Models
Management. We’ve has several meetings to resolve the issue but when the
Lawyer insisted we changed and tried to bring someone else in I had to
recommend Elohor because I was afraid she would be managed by someone
who wouldn’t know what to do with her.BN
